I removed one star for the typical Decca Phase 4 recording issues, that I feel are more apparent on this release than previous Stokowski items transferred by HDTT. If you have an interest in the Phase 4 Concert Series, designed to make spectacular recordings rather than natural sounding ones, then go ahead, but be aware that with this approach comes some hot climaxes, exaggerated right/left, spotlighting of instruments, and altered reverb. This is the eighth (and final) recording Stokowski did of Stravinsky’s Firebird.
