Exceptional selection of Italian arias from the greatest French voice of the previous century. Some of the arias like “Suicidio” are breathtaking. The transfer is definitely a step from the already good Decca CD transfer. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an audiophile experience with Madame Crespin.
I have a bit of a love and hate relationship with operatic arias - some are transporting and others just leave me cold.. But this set reaches levels of bliss that few others ever have - it is just an amazing recording in every possible way. Highly recommended. :)
