Some fine Americana here - notably the Copland and Barber - magnificently played by the AAM in its halcyon days. Sound is good but the strings a bit too thin for me to count as great.
Unique versions of American classics
I’ve loved this program since it first appeared among the early Argo hits of ASMF. To hear it's chamber scale sonorities in such a clarified soundstage is thrilling.
