I have been a fan for decades since my initial listening to Miles Davis when McCoy was one of his sidemen (misnomer). I have a high resolving system and computer audio player (several of them) and the HDTT purchase meets my highest criteria for the enjoyment of music. I particularly appreciate McCoy’s musicality and technique which is readily manifested in this recording. The charts for the Ellington compositions are superb and the instrumentation is imaginative and highly original, in my opinion. While Bill Evans is my favorite jazz pianist, it’s easy to place McCoy so very close to Bill in the two criteria I refer to above. Highly recommended. Best, REShaman
