Dorati recorded a joyously rewarding complete set of Haydn symphonies back in those dark days of miners strikes and other disputes that seemed to make getting decent sets of LPs almost impossible. Of course they were all released on CD, but never in really great sound, just what I would call "decent for the time" - well here is the evidence that there's much more magic buried in those master tapes. This a really beautiful sounding release from HDTT. What marvellous music making. Any chance of more? Very highly recommended.
