Bruno Walter brings his usual very expressive interpretation to these works. To my ear there is a sweetness and at the same time an “aesthetic weight” to his conducting which brings out the colors of romantic music beautifully. Thanks to HDTT for making so many great older classical recordings available.
I use dsd128. Sound is astonishing. Nothing to do with poor cd transfer
Bruno Walter and the Columbia SO, remastered by HDTT, is a winning combination. I buy every example and I am never disappointed. We are just so lucky to be able to download such glorious performances in wonderfully preserved sound.
Amongst the very best interpretations of Beethoven's Pastoral and in the best remastering I have heard....better than the Sony SACD an the MFSL SACD! Get the DSD version of HDTT....a must!
