For me PC1 & PS22 can't be better than this. Soud great as always from HDTT
The spaces between the notes
Excellent, as all of my purchases from HDTT have been. Dead quiet between cuts. My efficient horn-loaded speakers are merciless to noisy recordings; these more than pass the test.
Sviatoslav Richter Performs Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1 & Piano Sonata No. 22, Op. 54
richter playing beethoven. could anything be much better than that?
This is in my opinion an absolutely reference recording for Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1. Sound quality from this HDTT 24Bit 192K files is better than Japanese XRCD24 and slightly better than Japanese SACD issues. This files does not have the low frequently hum at beginning of the first part of Concerto (different to Japanese issues). I would me only wish additional issue in DSD128 or 256 or DXD. This reissue is a must have for lovers of Art of Sviatoslav Richter and Charles Munch.
