Worth getting for the Copland - this is the only extant hi res recording of the piece. However, the Britten has been done better - including a distinctly superior later reading by Previn with the LSO (on EMI). Moreover, the pile-driving percussion in this piece is rather gutted by the distant recording. The beginning - live or in a superior recording - should make you leap out of your seat; regretfully, this one massively fails the test.
As most others, this album has the typically warm and clear sounding from HDTT
Sinfonia Da Requiem is a kind of composition which needs both warmth and clarity.
