These Reiner recordings are breathtaking for dynamics and detail. I'm quite happy with my purchase.
This really is a superb recording. Very enjoyable. I have a few other Beethoven symphonies but this one is a step above. Really recommended!
Bought the DSD version and the clarity and dynamics are excellent.
Good, strong, incisive direction so typical of Reiner. Full of energy, with sharp playing from the Chicago band. If you like your Beethoven without qualms or hesitation, then these performances are right up your alley. These new remastered symphonies are much cleaner, with less distortion than the original LP releases.
WOW! This is just a great sounding recording.
