The Perfect Fool and Egdon Heath fall well within the category of pure pleasure. And they are beautifully well performed here by Sir Adrian Boult and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. This recording is a great introduction to the excellence of Kingsway Hall's acoustics and why it is such a legendary recording venue for both Decca and EMI. An excellent Kenneth Wilkinson stereo recording.
