Night Lights is truly a masterwork, both in the audio quality and the musicianship. This is fast becoming one of my favorite albums. It sounds spectacular, as the HDTT always do, but especially so on this release. Highly recommended.
Very clean recording of Gerry Mulligan and some of his alumni playing some beautiful arrangements by Mulligan. Night lights is a very relaxed arrangement that complements the laid back playing of the the sextet. In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning is another stand out arrangement. The DSD extracts the best out of the recording but does show up some of the limitations of the equipment used back then. I found the sound stage to be recessed on the equipment I was using.
