The harpsichord is perfectly rendered in this recording. It is more lush than harsh. The flute dances in the air and perfectly compliments the music.
I'm really not in the habit of writing reviews.I usually just enjoy the wonderful music I come across. And having a 217 GB folder of hi-res classical music, not only do I have ample reason to enjoy myself, I also gained over the years some inevitable experience to what beautiful music is and the quality of its making. Which brings me to this recording. Another one of Bach's genius and inspired offerings. Quite simply if you love Baroque music, harpsichord and flute instruments, you will be amply rewarded in this selection.Recorded in 1981, we not only benefit from modern technology, the transfer originating from a 15ips 2 track tape makes for a high quality product devoid of the usual imperfections we are accustomed to with older material. Listening to the crisp quality of the flute player is like being in the studio sitting next to her. Even her breath intakes shows off the marvelous quality of this production. I highly recommend this recording.
