I was recently reading a review of some audio hardware I was considering purchasing, and the DSD256 album “Cootie Williams in Stereo” was mentioned as being particularly well-recorded. My curiosity piqued, I found this album on HDTT. It’s always fun when one’s expectations are exceeded—it’s hard to describe the elation felt during the first playback on my system! Not only is the recording and imaging top-notch, the music is just plain fun. Highly recommended!
Was not familiar with Cootie until I saw it hear and not at all disappointed I dropped the cash and I know him now..excellent transfer and format
We really enjoyed the selections and the recordings are excellent. If you are a trumpet fan this is a great choice.
Great sounding record and performance! Space between tracks is not great and the compilation order is quite odd but it’s hard because it’s a compilation. However great music and sound.
I'm not a big lover of big band music. But this recording could convert me. Cootie's trumpet is wonderful, the HddT transfer is great, the interaction of the musicians pure fun.

"This one has my very highest recommendation. It's a true reference-standard recording for jazz lovers and audiophiles everywhere…and real reference standards are a lot rarer than you might think." David Robinson Positive Feedback
