Your HDTT recordings have brought me closer to the "Audiophile Nirvana" than I have ever been! For 50 years I have struggled just to get back to where we were during the Golden Age of HiFi (mid 1950s - late 1960s) - the time when Dolbyized Reel-to-Reel represented the highest quality sound reproduction available. Despite half a century of hype and propaganda your recordings PROVE that it is still true. Glenn Mackal South Pasadena, FL

HDTT discs give music lovers a breakthrough in sound and performance that goes a different way from the grey non-distinctiveness common in much of today’s recorded classical music, a breakthrough that is profound and restorative. Discovering High Definition Tape Transfers was a breakthrough in my life of music and sound. Who knew that the standard Redbook CD was capable of such palpable enjoyment? My first experience: Charles Munch and the Boston Symphony orchestra working at white heat, along with their engineers, delivering lush highs (no screeching strings), warm, smooth mid-range, and solidity (really solid!) with musicality at the bottom. I don’t believe there is a Daphnis et Chloe currently available that can match this restored (from tapes once available commercially) classic. The care taken in HDTT’s mastering makes every copy uniquely personal. My twenty-one purchases subsequent to Daphnis et Chloe confirm the standard of excellence at HDTT. What glorious sound and classic performances! HDTT brings us music and recording that speak to the soul. I’m looking forward to my next twenty-one purchases! To add to the riches already offered by High Definition Tape Transfers, we are now the fortunate beneficiaries of LP transfers to the company's high quality media. The first two releases, which I have listened to on HQCD's, are a resounding, even awesome success, simply unmissable. They are the best LP transfers I have ever heard from any company. The sonic qualities, not to mention the performances themselves, are what we have come to expect from HDTT: crisp, full range richness, the glory of analogue, bass that is musical and tangible, the sweetest highs, all instrumental choirs coming across naturally within a well integrated sonic framework. In short, these transfers are the full equal of HDTT's transfers from tape sources. While I do not know all the specifics, I am aware that LP transfers have their own set of challenges, making the transfer process much more labor intensive. We can only thank HDTT for increasing its offerings with LP sources, and if such releases in the future hold the sonic wonders that the first two releases are so rich with, then we are all in store for terrific musical experiences to come. Bring 'em on, HDTT! Howard R. Selekman, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

I have been downloading HDTT's gems of remastering almost from the very first and have all but a very few. I have greatly enjoyed these improved reincarnations of the great recordings I grew up with along with others from that same golden era I only now have gotten to know. Starting from a quite high level of quality, Bob has attained several steps of major improvement in his method over time. We all owe him our appreciation and thanks for his unique contribution to our audiophile pleasure. I encourage those with the authority to make more tapes available to him and thus to us as well. Richard Gerber, MD, Washington, DC

I've just finished listening to the three 24/192 releases. I am very
pleased with the sound quality. I didn't think that the "L'Histoire du Soldat" could be improved over the 24/96 release, but it has even more depth and detail. The Music of Spain release is substantially better than the 24/96 and very similar to my pristine early pressing London vinyl copy. I also thought that the "Jeu de Cartes" was fabulous. Larry Toy, Orinda, CA

I want to tell you how excited I am at the sound quality of your 24/96 FLAC downloads, and also your great website design. I play the flacs on mediamonkey then via USB to a Cambridge DAC MAGIC upsampling DAC then into GRADO 325i headphones. My redbook Cds sound great on popular music but on classical they sound veiled, with colouration, and violins are usually muddled, rattlely and unfocussed causing listener fatigue. Your downloads remedy this instantly and have given me the best classical sound quality I have ever had. Bruce Elliot New Zealand

I received my Ansermet/Bizet and Szell/Mahler 4th discs recently. They are SPLENDID:Incredible silken highs, great detail even at fff, and fine natural hall ambience. Many thanks for accomodating my errant download order. I am a 50+ year classical music lover with many thosands of LPs and grand memories of Szell, Munch, Monteux et.al. I've been a gear builder/acquirer since 1952 and continue to seek the most "natural sound" possible as I devote less time to the practise of medicine and more to music, my great passion. Your recent discs represent the most exciting advance in sound I have noted since Mercury "Living Prescence" and open reel stereo tape of the late 1950s. I am an occasional reviewer for AudAud.com and have encountered many boutique US and European labels, carefully recorded. None measure up to the realism generated by your discs.
My next purchase will be one of your HQ discs-can't wait!
Thanks so much for this pleasure,
Ronald Legum
