"I have long believed that vibration control, as well as other so-called "high end audio" signal enhancement disciplines, is beneficial not only for CD playback, but would also be of great benefit in the process of manufacturing CDs. Bob has helped to demonstrate this with his HDTT mastering process, and the results prove that there's more - perhaps much more - to be extracted from the ordinary Compact Disc than anyone may have suspected. HDTT transfers sound significantly more alive, spatial, and pleasantly detailed - in other words, just plain more musical and enjoyable - than nearly all other Compact Discs - including SACDs - that I have heard. In short, one of the best things that's happened to the CD in a long time." - Peter Bizlewicz http://www.symposiumusa.com/products.shtml
The remastering process done by highdeftapetransfers.com is unparalleled in the industry. Using audiophile cables, the best remastering components and a modified/battery powered analog to digital converter, the remasters from reel-to-reel tape are simply the best I have heard, superior to other commercial remasters. This is an example of what can be accomplished in the recording chain when mods and audiophile equipment and cables are applied.Ultra-low jitter CD masters are produced which have clarity, focus and soundstage unlike any CD recordings you can buy commercially. Minimizing jitter in the digital signal is equally important in the mastering process and the play back process. The disk writer and writing process is also superior to commercially available CD's. Fabrication of commercial CD's results in significant jitter, where as writing CD-R's one at a time at low-speed with a high-quality,low jitter writer produces a superior copy. Experience the difference that low-jitter can make in your CD playback and take advantage of the wonderful music selections that highdeftapetransfers has to offer. Steve Nugent www.empiricalaudio.com
"I am professional pianist who spent 6-10 hours a day from age 6 to 18 studying classical piano in one of the best music environments in the world, old city of Odessa, (at that time USSR). Needless to say I am avid concert goer. After my active retirement I spend 4-6 hours a day listening to the music and I am in audio engineering consulting as a 2nd career/hobby!
After 30 or so of your HQCD, I tried to compare them with your "regular" CD's. And here came the shock. These are among the best re mastered CD's I ever heard. The sound of these CD's is very close to LP's I used to from my childhood (I know its from the tape but my memory doesn't). Full of color, liquidity and finesse and actually with better bass. Among "regular" Audio CD's I heard your are the best. No ifs and buts
Now, listening to these "regular" CD's I could better understand what did you do (sonically) with HQCD's. The major change I could clearly hear is that HQ process removes a bit of the warmth from the HTTP CD's making them sounding a touch leaner. On the other hand, listening to HQCD I cannot but admit they sound more authentic to real music. Its difficult for me to point a finger on anything specific. Probably soundstage became larger and image sharper but I don;t think its these qualities which make HQCD more faithful to real acoustic music. I suspect it is more accurate timbre and texture. I listen music "like a dog" - I know very well what I hear but I can't ...and frankly am not interested in analytical analyses. Sorry.
I have a large collection of SACD, I own XRCD2 and XRCD24, I own K2HD and recently I have discovered SCM-CDs. I must say if I would be forced to choose the same performance on only one of these formats or HQCD I would choose HQCD and not because of any specific quality (FYI: SCM-CD is the closest in sonic signature to HQCD's) or specific attribute but simply because , on the average, ( not each and every one) they grab me and place into music deeper then average recording of other formats.
Thank you again for the deep pleasure I always have listening to your work.

"We would like to use everything that is available, for demo purposes, these recordings sold quite a few high-end audio systems in our shops for real music lovers and musicians, they are much better than any sales guy, let the music speak for itself" - Ferenc Koscs http://www.penna-media.hu/poor/hifi/
Your CD's are marvelous! Although I am not a classical music connoisseur I think it is safe to say that these recordings are just great. Daniel Weiss Weiss Digital Audio www.weiss.ch
Thanks for the sampler which you, or somebody, slipped me at CES. The disc is fascinating and, while it retains the balances I am familiar with on the older LPs, the increase in clarity and detail is remarkable. I was especially impressed with the Strauss (Klemperer), Bach (Richter), Beethoven (Prohaska) and Wagner (Munch). Kal Rubinson "Music in the Round" www.stereophile.com
"Loved the tones, especially the string tones and highs. Violin and cello were particularly vivid and alive. I feel very strongly that your recordings exhibit outstanding transparency due to the fact that you burn the individual discs instead of stamping them." The ultimate in disc sonics can only be achieved when the disc played has been burned. Stamping is a cost effective but music destroying method of making a CD." Overall, I would rate your efforts as being very successful and kudos to you for going to the extra effort to individually burn each CD, an effort that must be expensive and time consuming. As for the $30 price tag, they are worth every penny of the asking price and more. Martin DeWulf www.boundforsound.com
These classical music CD's are the best 16 bit digital audio we have heard on our system. They are incredibly dynamic, open and transparent. They sound very close to our reference analog setup in tonality, especially the violin pieces. Musically the pieces are excellent interpretations, as good as or better than mainstream releases. We look forward to your future releases John Hughes www.vrsaudiosystems.com
I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the amazing sampler disk you gave me at the CES. Some of the cuts have so much detail I could hardly believe I was listening to a CD. Also, the sound on the 50-year old Scherchen Scheherazade was truly remarkable. Again, thanks for the disk, which I listened to on a straight out-of-the-box Denon 2910 connected to a Dodson DAC. I can just image what the disk would sound like played through modified equipmentSaul Sokolsky www.theaudioenthusiast.com
I just purchased one of your sampler CDs and am thrilled with the results. I plan to share the CD at an upcoming HeadFi (audiophile) group meet here in Southern California.I want other audiophiles to know about your high quality product. Gregory Fortner California
As a collector of fine CDs, I must report that what I’ve heard from HDTT is in a class of its own. By this I mean that they publish very high quality music in a sound that is not Hi-Fi “demo” but wholly natural. Frankly, it is a bit disturbing to own so many mainstream CDs that are exposed as “ordinary” and bland. HDTT has somehow revealed that the so-called 16-bit silver disc does not have the compression, far less the clinical sound we have expected. Initially I was skeptical, how can a small label beat the big boys with the mastertapes? Well, they beat them to a pulp. It doesn’t make sense, but try it. The best I’ve heard is the new issue, Mahler 3: I used to wonder why Bob Auger (an English freelance engineer) was so highly praised. Now I know. HDTT is onto something. If you want great music with palpable clarity rather than demo Hi-Fi, try one; you’ll be back for more. And I haven’t even ventured beyond their “standard” quality CD!! From what I hear, the silver disc is now challenging 24/96 streaming and vinyl. Impossible, I hear you say. Once I agreed.
